Starting in August 2019, the project "DE Solutions" at the Intelligent Material Systems Lab at Saarland University will be funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (www.bmwi.de) and the European Social Fund (www.esf.de) within the EXIST Research Transfers program (www.exist.de). Over a period of two years, this project will be supported with 1.1 million euros. The aim is to develop marketable actuator and sensor solutions based on dielectric elastomers. The results will be used by the startup company Desaar GmbH (www.desaar-systems.com), which was established during the project phase.
